Is Lindsay Lohan's career over? |
|
Answer:
We certainly hope so. This young lady has made a mockery of a perfectly
forgiving industry that grants its biggest starts plenty of second
chances.
In the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, a number of Hollywood producers went on the record (anonymously, the wusses!) saying that Lohan's career is over. The girl, who was just arrested for DUI and cocaine possession a mere two weeks after being released from rehab, now faces serious charges.
She may not serve time (celebrities getting special treatment is hardly news, so let's not treat it as such), but Lohan is going to have plenty of down time to ponder the error of her ways. Hollywood isn't going to touch her with a 10-foot pole. At this point, she may not even be insurable. No coverage, no career. Frankly, if she was a bigger talent, or a bigger star, Hollywood might be willing to give her a second chance. But her last few films failed to perform at the box office, and there's no reason to believe that "I Know Who Killed Me" will be bringing in serious dough or awards. Lohan, like so many of today's young starlets, is more a media creation for her real life excesses than for her on-screen abilities. We're not going to make any predictions here, but it appears that for Lindsay, the party's over.
