Citing fears about Hilton's health, Sheriff
Lee Baca released Hilton at 2 a.m. Thursday so that she could serve the rest of her sentence under house arrest in her Hollywood home.
Media outlets are reporting tonight that Hilton wasn't eating and cried constantly during her confinement, prompting officials to fear she might take her own life in jail. The judge who put Hilton in jail for violating her reckless-driving probation today ordered Hilton to appear in court at 9 a.m. Friday to determine if she should be returned to jail.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, who complained that he learned of Hilton's
release through news reports, said Hilton's release prompted an outpouring of letters, calls and e-mails about this apparent special treatment of a "celebrity." We use that word loosely. Trackback(0)

I'm sure she was really sick and needed to go home. There is no such thing as preferential treatment towards celebrities. wink, wink Write comment
