What happened to the Brat Pack?

Answer:
Everyone's favorite teen screen idols, made famous for their appearances in John Hughes films, have all hung up their stone-washed jeans and angst-filled diaries, but most of them still lead busy lives as professional actors. Let's check in on them, shall we?

Ally Sheedy
We loved her in The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire, but where is she now? She's still working today and was recognized for her role in a drama called High Art in 1998. Sheedy is married and has a daughter.

Emilio Estevez

Emilio is a Brat Packer many times over with roles in The Outsiders, The Breakfast Club and St Elmo's Fire. He most recently directed and starred in Bobby, a film set at L.A.'s Ambassador Hotel on the fateful day that Bobby Kennedy was shot there during a campaign appearance. The film also starred Emilio's dad, Martin Sheen. Estevez has had a busy post-Brat Pack career including such films as Young Guns I and II and The Mighty Ducks.

Andrew McCarthy
With memorable Brat Pack roles in St. Elmo's Fire and Pretty in Pink, McCarthy went on to further pop culture acclaim with a part in the screwball comedy Weekend at Bernie's. Andrew continues to work, primarily in TV. He is married and has a son.

Molly Ringwald
The resident Brat Pack queen reigned supreme with roles in Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. Folklore has it that Molly had a falling out with John Hughes when she turned down the lead in Some Kind of Wonderful. Disillusioned with Hollywood, Ringwald spent most of the 90s in Paris. Today she is back in America, where she's appeared on Broadway. She lampooned her Brat Pack persona in Not Another Teen Movie (2001) as an airline employee who lectured teens for acting so stereotypical.

Judd Nelson
After roles in The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire, Nelson played a cop in New Jack City. He turned to TV in the late 1990s with a role on the sitcom Suddenly Susan starring Brooke Shields. Nelson left the show after his co-star and friend, David Strickland, committed suicide in 1999. He lives in Los Angeles.

Anthony Michael Hall
Always the nerd - never the stud. Such was Anthony Michael Hall's lot in such films as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. Fearful that he'd be typecast that way forever more, he turned down roles in Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Hall is now a TV star in the sci-fi series The Dead Zone.

Rob Lowe
This Brat Packer became a major teen poster-boy hearth throb in The Outsiders, Class, Oxford Blues, St Elmo's Fire and About Last Night. His star dimmed a bit when a video of the star having sex with two young girls was made public in 1988. Comedic roles in Wayne's World, Tommy Boy and the Austin Powers films re-introduced Lowe to a new generation, and his career rebounded, reaching a new high with his role in the hit TV show The West Wing.

Demi Moore
She was part of the pack for her roles in St Elmo's Fire and About Last Night. More than any other Brat Packer, Demi has hit the big time. She became the first actress to hit the $10 million salary mark. She went on to star in Ghost and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. She had three daughters with actor Bruce Willis before the couple divorced. Today she is married to actor Ashton Kutcher, who is 15 years her junior.
