The 73 year old singer and actor who died on Oct. 30 Goulet played Sir Lancelot alongside Richard Burton as King Arthur and Julie Andrews as Queen Guenevere. His success on that production led to a bright career in stage and song. In 1962 Robert Goulet won a Grammy Award as best new artist. His song My Love Forgive Me made the singles chart in 1964. Robert Goulet also become a fixture on television through appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and other shows. Goulet hosted his own TV show called General Electric's Showtime. Goulet returned to Broadway infrequently, but when he did - for a role in the musical The Happy Time in 1968 - he won a Tony award. Goulet also appeared on Broadway for Moon Over Buffalo (1995), La Cage aux Folles (2005) and a Camelot revival (1993). This time Goulet took the lead as King Arthur. Moviegoers also remember Robert Goulet for roles in "Underground" (1970), "The Naked Gun 2 1/2" (1991) and Atlantic City (1980).
