Is the Going Green message helping the planet?

As many environmentalists feared, it appears
that Going Green has become a fad - something that could do more harm than good to the cause as time goes on.


The public is showing signs of Green Fatigue. Case in point: TIME magazine's Earth Day issue in April 2008 was the magazine's third-lowest-selling issue so far this year with only 72,000 copies sold (down from the usual 93,000).

At the same time, the amount of money being spent on Going Green-themed advertising is on the decline, according to a report by The New York Times.
