Three-dimensional animation is commonly found in games, but is being used more often in newer movies.  It requires video editing software and a powerful computer with hardware the typical user cannot afford.  A 3D animation movie is Beowulf.  Most video games are done using 3D animation.

Three-dimensional animation is the new wave of the future.  It provides a very immersive experience, and in some cases, it can trick your mind into thinking you are actually a part of the movie.  It requires the use of high-end computers costing thousands of dollars.
