Answer:
Censorship is the act of hiding or deleting objectionable material
from publicly available communication devices.


There are many things that are censored in the United States - Pornography, especially child pornography; military actions, which is censored to keep the enemy from figuring out the military's strategy; and political activities, which are censored to keep the populace under control.  Censorship is often done by government or media personnel and censorship is usually determined by morals, politicians, or the media themselves.
