How did Pavarotti die?

Answer:
Famed tenor Luciano Pavarotti
died of pancreatic cancer, a particularly devastating form of the disease, on Sept. 6, 2007. The diagnosis came in July 2006 as the Italian tenor was in the midst of an international tour.

The singer underwent extensive abdominal surgery in an attempt to remove all cancerous tissue and hoped to return to his tour. The cancer never abated, however, and Pavarotti was hospitalized in August. By September, his condition became very grave, and he died at his home near Modena, the city of his birth, with his wife, sister and daughters at his side.

Services for Pavarotti took place at Modena Cathedral. He is remembered fondly as one of the greatest tenors in the history of operatic music.
