Should I buy the Titanic 10th Anniversary DVD?

Answer:
That depends on how much you like James Cameron's 1998 blockbuster
and which Titanic DVD version you already own. If you have the three-disc version of Titanic on DVD, you're already covered because the Titanic 10th Anniversary DVD doesn't offer any new content.

In fact, the Titanic 10th Anniversary DVD doesn't have the third disc and therefore lacks such extras as 45 minutes worth of deleted scenes. The audio commentary tracks remain, but that's not necessarily a good thing. In this version the filmmakers will be discussing deleted scenes that you won't be able to view.

We actually advise you to purchase the three-disc set in lieu of the Titanic 10th anniversary DVD. We're told that several retailers are selling the older set at a discount now that the new, supposedy unsinkable 10th Anniversary Titanic DVD, is on sale. Buyer beware - the new Titanic DVD simply doesn't hold water.
